Social Anxiety Skills and Support Group

-This group is designed for adults who struggle with anxiety in social situations. Each group will include an informational portion teaching skills, strategies and new ways of thinking about social situations. It will also include a support component where group members will connect and support one another as they work to reduce anxiety and increase involvement in difficult social situations. It’s okay to feel anxious about the social aspects of being in a group! It’s an important part of treatment, and we will help you navigate it.

-Skills will be drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

-We prioritize making group a welcoming, comfortable and confidential space for all members. In order to maintain this, members must agree to adhere to the group rules in order to participate.

-Group members must be 18+ years old and located in Michigan or another PSYPACT state.

-Group will begin on March 14, 2024 and will meet on Thursdays at 6:00PM. Group will use rolling enrollment, so new members will be added (up to a cap of 8-10 people) continuously once group begins. Please reach out and do not feel discouraged if it is past March 14th.

-Group will meet virtually via doxy.me. Doxy is a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. Group members are expected to keep private all information they hear from other participants.

-Group will be facilitated by Camden Baucke, MS, LLP. Camden is passionate about working with people who have social anxiety and focuses much of his clinical time working in this area.

-Group costs $50 per session, which may be covered by insurance if you have a qualified diagnosis (Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, BCN).

-Group members will be required to do a 15 minute phone or video screening to ensure they are a good fit.
